![]() ![]() Short answer Netlink games must use Netlink, Link games must use Link cable. I have the Japanese version of Gungriffon II so I am unsure if any other version would work. I have personally tried out Gebockers and Gungriffon II and they work great. Those games just need 2 saturns and the link cable that fits into that rarely used port on the back of the Saturn and away you go. Saturn Link games are mostly Japanese games, the 2 games that come to mind that are linkable are Gebockers and Gungriffon II, Hexen (accessable through debug menu) & Steeldom. I have tried many times in vain to connect 2 Netlinks & 2 Saturns directly, but without a dialtone I dont think it is possible. Netlink games require the netlink adaptor and 2 phone lines. Netlink games and Link Cable games are two completely different technologies. This is a very good question, here is the skinny on the Saturn Link Cable. cable, and have you tried any of these games out? Also, does anybody have a more complete list of all the games that work with the Vs. Do I need the special, impossibly hard to find NetLink version, or can I use the standard version? Reason I ask this, is because many of the NetLink games are super rare and valuable, and way too expensive for my blood. Here is my question, I'm really interested in playing games like Sega Rally Championship via the link cable, but I don't know if I need to get the actual NetLink version of Sega Rally Championship, or just a regular version of Sega Rally Championship. I'm more interested in playing games like: So, now I have this cable, but I don't have two copies of this game Steeldom, and I don't have two Saturns that can play Japanese software. It came packaged with a Japanese Saturn game called Steeldom. Well, I ended up tracking down a Saturn Vs. I know the Saturn had a handful of special NetLink games that only worked with the uber rare NetLink modem, but I didn't know anything about the system link games. So, after hearing about it, I was pretty intrigued by the idea. Prior to that, I had no idea it had that capability. Some time ago I heard about how you could play a few system link games on the Sega Saturn.
